EBC Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pad Cobalt 05-09 2.2L DP31660C.

Performance Disc Brake Pads Organic Ceramic Pads for Chevrolet Cobalt.

Disc pads are the component that contacts and applies pressure and friction to the vehicle's rotors.  This pressure is what slows and stops the vehicle.

Some early warning signs of failing brake are a squeaking noise when you come to a stop, or your ride doesn't seem to stop as quickly as it used too, or there is a mushy feeling to your brake pedal when pressed.  There are different types of disc pads to choose from.

Cars today will probably have metallic disc pads that grab the rotor. Metallic disc pads are composed of iron, copper, steel and graphite mixed together and bonded to form the pad.  Another type of disc pad is the non-asbestos Organic disc pad.  They contain natural materials such as glass, rubber and resins. Another product added to some of the Organic pads is Kevlar.  These pads when disposed of won't pollute the environment and easier to dispose of.  The next type of disc pad is quite expensive, and it is a ceramic disc brake pad. Ceramic disc pads are more for high performance vehicles, such as race cars and trucks.

Now, at least you will have a basic knowledge of pads and rotors before you replace them.

There are two reasons customers love Redstuff brake pads, first because they  they reduce dust by 60-90%. The minimal dust produced is very easily removed with a simple sponge wash.  Redstuff brake pads contain no steel fiber particles as in other brands. Second they brake like an alligator right from cold (as good as Original pads or better) and just get better as they heat up.  This material is a Kevlar® fibre based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles.

The High Performance LOWEST DUST rating pads for faster street driving.

  • Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulations.
